- All hair & skin types
Until the early 1990’s, shaving, plucking, waxing and electrolysis were the only methods of removing unwanted hair. Then there was exciting news about using laser technology for successful hair removal. Since the mid-1990’s, laser hair removal has become the preferred method for hair removal.
There are a few different “types” of laser hair removal. The primary difference is the wavelength of the laser.
We are very pleased to utilize a state-of-the art laser. This new LASER TECHNOLOGY, using the Fotona Nd:YAG laser, can bring you amazing results in only a handful of visits. The wavelength of this particular laser is specifically engineered to perform these tasks. It is comfortable and safe. Plus, it yields long-term benefits.
How does it work?
First, our laser hair removal procedure is performed by a specially trained, experienced laser technician. A hand-held laser is pressed against your skin. When the laser is activated the light energy of the laser passes through the skin to the hair follicles below. This penetrating light from the laser is absorbed by the hair follicle, damaging it to the point where hair production is no longer possible. This is a non-invasive procedure and typically pain free.
Complete hair removal often requires one to four sessions that are as little as five minutes to more than one hour, depending upon skin type, hair color, and size of area. During your personal consultation you will receive a full evaluation depending upon your own situation and needs. See Before and After Photos.

Electrolysis vs. Laser
Hundreds of thousands of women (and lots of men, too) will consider some form of permanent hair removal in the next several months. Your main considerations will be either electrolysis or laser hair removal. Both types of hair removal have their benefits; it simply depends on what you are looking for. Here are some examples of questions to consider:
- How much are you willing to spend (think of both short-term and long-term)?
- Are you seeking primarily a pain-free alternative?
- What do you consider a reasonable number of visits to accomplish your goal?
- Are you looking for complete permanent hair removal?
There are advantages and disadvantages to each type of hair removal. One of the biggest differences when comparing electrolysis to a laser method is that electrolysis deals with the treatment one hair at a time, instead of a much larger area. With electrolysis a tiny, metal probe is inserted into the hair follicle. Then an electronic charge is released which effectively destroys the hair at the root. Again, this is performed one hair at a time and there is some pain associated with this treatment.
Depending on your skin type and hair color, under certain circumstances, electrolysis may be the preferred method for hair removal. For example, laser hair removal may be preferred as it’s faster for larger areas and works best with darker hair. Meanwhile, electrolysis is best for blond, gray or red hair. Or, we can use a combination of both Laser technology along with Electrolysis to achieve the ultimate result of permanent hair removal. See Before and After Photos.

Laser Spider Vein Removal
You can now remove unsightly Spider Veins without surgery or other painful procedures. This new laser technology can make a drastic improvement in your appearance! The wavelength of our laser targets hemoglobin or blood. The blood in these spider veins absorbs the energy from the laser creating heat. This heat destroys the walls of these small blood vessels. The vein will die and the body clears away the destroyed tissue in the same way it would clear away a bruise.
How long will it take for my veins to disappear? Each person’s body is different. The time required for the veins to be reabsorbed can range from days to weeks or in some cases possibly months. No anesthesia is required with these laser treatments; there is no downtime and very little risk of side effects. People with all skin colors can be safely treated.
How many treatments will I need?
The answer to this question often depends on what you are expecting from your treatment. Some clients just want to look better while others what these spider veins completely gone. Some can accomplish their goal in just one treatment while others may require two or more treatments for clearing. Treatments are usually several weeks to several months apart; again, depending on your individual situation. See Before and After Photos.

New Laser Technique Revolutionizes Skin Resurfacing and Rejuvenation
Have you been longing for a more youthful appearance? Well, wait no more. This new Laser techniques is revolutionizing the industry. Plus, the results are amazing! Here is some information that should answer many of your questions.
What is it called?
The name of this treatment is “Micro Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing” or simply “MiXto SX Laser Treatment”.
What results can I expect? - or - What’s in it for me?
- This treatment stimulates the formation of new collagen for up to 6 months.
- Damaged tissue will immediately shrink or tighten. Because there is an immediate contraction of the collagen fibers, this reduces fine lines, wrinkles and loose skin.
- There will be textural improvement. Pigmentation problems are removed. There will be a reduction in textural irregularities such as wrinkles, pore size and acne scars.
- Age spots and sun spots will be lightened or removed completely.
- Net result of above: You Actually Look Younger!
- There is minimal discomfort associated with this procedure both during and after.
- The healing process is faster.
- A complete facial treatment typically only takes 20-25 minutes. (Other areas which can be treated with this technique include the neck area, hands and chest area.)
- The “thermal burn” is at a much, much lower level than previous types of treatment. This allows the patients to quickly go back to their normal lifestyle; typically within one week. Also, within 48 hours after treatment women can apply makeup.
Tell me about the technology
This treatment combines two very different technologies in a manner that has provided a revolutionary new laser treatment to rejuvenate the appearance of your skin.
First, the laser portion of this technique uses a 10.6µm (10,600 nm C[O.sub.2]) wavelength designed for skin renewal procedures. This is a proven technology and is the “gold standard” wavelength used in medical lasers for skin rejuvenation treatments. Next, this is now combined with a high-speed scanner technology. Thus, the evolution and “marriage” of two existing technologies has brought forth a revolutionary treatment in the world of medical lasers.
What makes this technique different, and ultimately better, than previous laser treatments?
There are a number of things that help make this a preferred laser treatment.
- Being a “fractional” technique, only a small portion of the skin surface (approximately 20%) is actually exposed to the laser beam.
- The size of the actual laser beam is smaller: 0.3 mm (300 microns) compared the other lasers with 1.3 mm (1,300 microns) in a super pulse mode with random distribution. The smaller laser beam and fractional approach of the MiXto SX technique requires no anesthesia, unlike the others.
- Even though the size of the laser beam is quite a bit smaller in diameter, noticeably better results are achieved in both experience and appearance. That is because this technique places the laser beam only in close pattern which does not overheat the skin. This leaves “untreated” skin around each “micro-spot” from the laser beam. The amazing benefit is this allows for faster healing, quicker production of collagen, less pain,… well, you get the idea!
What to expect with a MiXto SX procedure?
Before – The practitioner will inform you all about the procedure, where it can be used, how you can best benefit from it, and so forth. Satisfactory results are usually experienced with only one treatment.
During - This MiXto SX treatment is performed in your practitioners place of business. The areas to be treated are thoroughly washed and dried. During the actual treatment your skin will feel a warm sensation. Most do not require any anesthetic treatment at all. As an example, the treatment for the face usually takes about 20-25 minutes.
After - The treated area will feel similar to a slight sunburn and typically lasts from 30 minutes to 3 hours. A fine pinpoint-like pattern will show on your skin from the therapeutic laser beam application. You’ll be advised to regularly apply a fragrance-free and preservative-free moisturizer to the treated area.
And the miracle comes to pass…
Days 1 & 2 - You’ll notice the pinpoint pattern has started to go away. Plus, you’ll have more of a tanned look than previously. You’ll be able to start using makeup and returning to your normal, daily routines.
Days 3 & 4 - Like with a sunburn, the very top layer of your skin will start to peel during normal washing. This process will begin to reveal your rejuvenated skin along with improved color and texture.
Days 5 & 6 - For most people the peeling skin will have ended. For 3 months you should avoid any prolonged exposure to the sun. Every day you should apply a moisturizing SPF 30 sun block.
Next 6 months – You should experience a continued reduction of wrinkles and fine lines as your new collagen is being produced.
Now, it’s up to you. Please give us a call to set up an appointment to discuss how this incredible new technology can rejuvenate your skin and make you appear years younger.

Laser Collagen Remodeling
Laser Collagen Remodeling can tighten your skin by stimulating new collagen growth. This is often called the “lunch hour face lift”. Collagen is the backbone or structure to our skin. As we age, these collagen bands relax, causing our skin to sag and develop lines and wrinkles.
The new collagen growth resulting from the laser treatment can help tighten skin by up to 40%. The treatment also lightens dark spots, improves acne, smoothes skin and decreases pore size, giving you a more youthful appearance.
How will my skin appear after treatment?
With the Fotona Nd:Yag laser this treatment is safe on all skin types. In most clients there is no evidence of a treatment being performed. A computerized scanner determines the appropriate pattern of pulses for the entire face and neck if also desired. This type of treatment usually is completed in about 45 minutes.
Typically, a minimum of three treatments are needed, about four to six weeks apart, to achieve the desired results. To maintain the required amount of collagen growth, some follow-up treatments are usually required. See Before and After Photos.
